Lunar New Year is celebrated with various traditions and rituals, including family gatherings, exchanging red envelopes, and eating special foods such as dumplings and glutinous rice cakes.
Each Lunar New Year is associated with a zodiac animal, which is believed to influence the fortunes of people born in that year. The 12 zodiac animals are rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig.
